Mrs. is pleased to present Eddysroom, On Time., organized by Austin Eddy, because after all these years, places, exhibitions, and missed moments, it seems Eddysroom has finally arrived right on time.

Time is a universally prevailing pressure.
One that every living organism has to process and be processed by.
It is fleeting and uniquely understood, while its ability to be ever-present makes it common.
In its contradictory simplicity, Time can be perceived as sublime.
Especially when appreciated through the right lens—and perspective takes time.
The irony of the process is as self-serving as time.
The fact that there is no real uniqueness to the passing of hours makes it a great unifier.
A leveler.
The most exciting potential perpetually clearing itself.
This void felt important to try and fill, if only for a moment.
Here, with On Time, artists have been asked to try and capture time.
Or a moment.
It is a reminder that no matter how far apart we are, we are here together.
All occupying this now.
Or what was now, but not quite then.
Each artist has brought their relationship with time to the table for this show.
There is a vast variation in approach and perception.
Some sought to capture time with reverence, comedy, play, sentimentality, etc.
Each perspective is unique and attempts to understand something so simply complex.
Take your time, take a look, and don’t forget to breathe.
The world is a messy place, and it's good to take a moment to remember we are all here now.

Eddysroom was an apartment gallery that operated in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, from 2015–2017. Started by artist Austin Eddy in a spare coat closet on the second floor of an old building at the end of Manhattan Avenue, Eddysroom began as a small, scrappy experiment in showing art outside the traditional gallery system.

As the neighborhood changed, so did the project. Eventually, the brick-and-mortar space closed, and Eddysroom adopted a new, more nomadic identity, becoming less a fixed place and more a curatorial project with a life of its own. Since then, exhibitions have popped up everywhere from Munich and Gothenburg to Mexico, Long Island, California, Milwaukee, New York, Russia, and beyond. The project has been covered by The New York Times, Artsy, Frontrunner Magazine, and many, many Instagram accounts.

Now, resurrected by an invitation from Mrs., Eddysroom is back on the scene. After all this time, everyone is left thinking the same thing, “It’s about time.”

Austin Eddy (b. 1986 Boston, MA) received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He has exhibited extensively throughout the United States and internationally, with recent solo exhibitions in Zurich, Berlin, Dijon, Munich, New York, and Aspen. His work has been featured in numerous museum and institutional exhibitions, including major solo presentations at Le Consortium, Dijon (2022), The Emden Art Gallery, Emden (2025), Museum Penzberg - Sammlung Campendonk, Penzberg (2025), The Norman Bird Sanctuary with Art And Newport, Newport RI (2026-2027) and an upcoming sculptural installation in the courtyard at Le Consortium, Dijon (2026-2027).
